How do I ignore certain types of traffic from Live Traffic view? I want to ignore googlbot and some monitoring services. I read your FAQ but it doesn’t give a solution for ignoring traffic that has a changing IP and undefined browser. Is it possible to ignore from a URL? Other solution? Ignore by hostname?

I tried ignoring browser type “undefined” but it dosent work.

  • Hi miclovin,
On the “Live Traffic” page, you can enable “Show Advanced Filters” then choose “Google Bot” and select “No”, by this way all the live traffic listed below will not contain any Google bot entry.

    I hope this helps!
    Thanks.

Thank you but I was looking for a way to ignore the googlebot traffic, not just filter it. Is there no way to do that in settings?

Actually, Wordfence Live Traffic shows you what is happening on your site in real-time, you can only filter the entries displayed there but not excluding them.

    Thanks.

Im talking about Wordfence>Options>Live Traffic View where you CAN exclude/ignore certain types of traffic.

So excluding traffic is possible despite what you say. I’m asking you how do I exclude googlebot traffic? The WF support page does not have much info or examples about how to use these settings.

I would really like to find a solution so I can stop logging googlebots. Anyone?

Yes, you are correct, you can exclude some traffic based on usernames, browsers user-agents and IP addresses from (Wordfence > Options => Live Traffic View), the only option I think you may use for excluding googlebots is excluding by IP addresses, you can find a full list of these IPs here. I know it’s not that easy thing to do, but I’m afraid there is no other option at the moment.

    Thanks.
