    Hi there! We need help with the IG share icon. Why would users be directed to our IG account? The intent of the share button is for the user to ‘share the content’ to their own IG account, not to visit ours. If users are directed to our IG, the share button would not be working as the users expect. It should function as ‘Share via,’ implying sharing the content rather than “visit the official IG account.”

    Thank you for reaching out!

    Currently the Instagram icon on our plugin is only for navigating users to your page. As the platform itself does not offer a sharing feature, we’re unable to implement one too.

    Please note that when Meta allocates this functionality to the platform, our plugin will be updated accordingly as well.
