IFTTT & xmlrpc -> non functional since upgrade from 3.5.2

Hi,

First time post.

I had WP 3.5.2 installed and I was using IFTTT to post ‘post-type’ updates via the WordPress Channel and xmlrpc

Under 3.5.2 everything works great.

The problem is that from 3.6 -> 3.8.1 – the posting does not work consistently.

I get what seems like a cache problem, the same post will be posted 4 times, approximately every 18 minutes.

I have tried to following;

Installed, separate versions of WP 3.5.2, 3.6.x, 3.7 & finally 3.8.1
I have had a constant back and forth with IFTTT support and from their logs, it would seem that everything is working pretty well on their side.

I used diffmerge on xmlrpc.php and saw only minor changes.

What I wonder is;

1. Anyone else seeing this problem?
2. Anyone know if something happened in the code, with the rev up from 3.5.2

Any help much appreciated.
