• We have a multi-site site manage hosted by WP Engine. We noticed that only Super Admin users can embed iFrame codes. When any user other than a Super user edits and updates a page with iFrame codes all the iFrame codes are stripped from the page. I was told this is a know issue with the WP 4.8.2 multi-site and iFrame. Is there anything we can do to allow other user rolls to embed iFrame codes? We have a lot of self created and hosted videos that we need to put on our WP sites.

Are you talking about iframe shortcode like this: [iframe src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/4qsGTXLnmKs” width=”100%” height=”500″] ?
Or you are talking about the native html iframe?
Because iframe plugin is responsible only for the shortcode.

I am talking about the less typical iframe codes. We pay for a video hosting and streaming service through Kaltura and we have issues when we use those iFrame codes or ones from Vimeo. Those short YouTube iFrame codes are the only ones that seem to work for anyone who is not a Super Admin. Our WP Multisite install is managed hosted by WP Engine. I have called them 4 times on this and all they can say is that it is an issue with the iFrame plugin and not them. Doesn’t sound right to me, but I am following their advice as I don;t know what else to do. I am not an expert, but seeing that it is roll based, I would gues it is a security setting. If so I wish I knew where it was so I could turn it off.
