If your LCP posts aren’t ordering properly by custom fields, read this…

This is a problem I solved myself and thought it might save someone else going through the same process.

This applies specifically to a custom post type, which in my case I was using an integer to order. AFAIK these don’t have a data type so are presumably text strings.

So, if you have more than nine to list in your page or post, you need to start with a 0: 01, 02, 03 etc.

Otherwise, once you get to 9, 10, 11, the sort order will change to 10, 11, 9 and so on. Easy to forget, as I have done twice now ??
