• This is a WordPress plugin, but nothing that WordPress provides is being used. There is no way to add your own code to any of the templates, let alone add your own custom fields. Every PHP you drop in their templates is just being ignored.

Support is also not on par, you are just being ignored and there are hundreds of treads asking for simple things that where promised three years ago and got never followed up on.

    Everything wrong with this plugin:

    • No automatic updates
    • No way to customise it yourself
    • You will just be ignored in support threads
    • No export function (promised 3 years ago)
    • You can’t even connect your own taxonomy
    • Your data is no where to be found in the PHPmyAdmin database

Be causious of buying or even using this plugin, it will hurt you in the long run.

I will be just building my own download manager with the help of Advanced custom fields.

It seems like, this review is also from the same person as the previous review “This ain’t no WordPress plugin!”, posted in same time and almost same review description. Also, none of the complaints are true.

With due respect, I think, he has very little knowledge about WordPress api or even general coding. And, it seems to me, replying every point he mentioned even a waste of time, as anyone uses this plugin or even try it for the first time will realize, this review is totally wrong.

@mvaneijgen, still, if you need the explanation about your misunderstanding, please post in the forum, we shall explain everything there for you.

    *Looks*

I’ve removed modlook and spam tags. There’s nothing spammy here.

This is feedback. Authors can reply and you did. That’s all there is too it.

@jdembowski, Thanks for looking into this, however, I tagged “modlook”, because, if you see last 2 reviews “If your a developer stay away from this plugin! [Paid]” and “This ain’t no WordPress plugin!”, they seem like from the same person, also posted immediately one after another.

I (sadly!) look at almost all the reviews. These aren’t the same users.

The reviews are frankly, unkind but they’re not spam and do not cross the line for abuse.

I suspected abuse, because, they both review post immediately in few mins difference, also both users are known to each other:

However, I think, we can stop this discussion here, thanks for looking into this issue.

We both used your plugin on different projects and we’re both writing you a review.

Why waste your time on checking out my twitter profile when you can build an export feature that you have promised 3 years ago?

    @codename065 Shaon? Stop this.

*DRINKS COFFEE, COFFEE IS CALMING ME AND IS ENOUGH FOR NOW*

I’m closing this review from anymore replies. I get that reviews are sensitive to you, I honestly do. But you are reacting in a less then ideal fashion. Seriously, you went to their Twitter feeds for proof of… collaboration? That’s not abuse, that’s reviews from two users.

Once again, reviews here are feedback. You do not have to reply and you sure as heck should never count on these reviews for marketing. That’s not new and has been that way here for years.

These are your users. They both have a say on your plugin if they choose and they did. Give this video a look over about how to reply to reviews.

You can reply anyway you like but you’re the person in this conversation with a reputation to risk. People do read the reviews and the read the author’s replies.

You’re first reply in that other review was stellar. Exceptional even.

But this conversation hasn’t been the best. I’m shutting it down, this isn’t productive anymore.
