• I committed hours setting this plugin up along with email templates etc and I left it running for about 1 week.

None of the abandoned carts were recovered and when I checked why I found that the plugin always includes the tax rate even if tax does not apply to some countries.

    This renders the plugin useless.

When I searched for details I did find this message hidden in an FAQ within the plugin settings itself AFTER i had already spent days wasted on this silly plugin. Time is precious so don’t waste yours by installing this rubbish.

Hers what the FAQ message says:

Currently it is not possible to exclude tax from the product price from the abandoned order view if tax is applicable for the product.

    Hi @jtbaxt,

First of all, I heartily apologize that you are unable to recover any abandoned carts through our plugin.

But I would recommend you to try the plugin for some more days and give us the permission to check if there is a possibility that we can find out what is wrong with the email template.

Can you share with us HTML code of the template which you have created for sending emails? As it is necessary to add “{{cart.link}}” merge tags in the email template. If this merge tags will not be available in the email template, then our plugin will not be able to consider the cart as recovered.

    Regarding the Tax issue,

Yes, it is not possible to exclude tax from the product price in the Abandoned Cart Lite plugin. But we do not calculate the “Tax” if it is not added in the product price while abandoning the cart. We are using default WooCommerce functions to get the product details. So, if the tax is not calculated with the product price then it will not be added to our plugin.

I have tested this issue on my site but I am unable to reproduce the same which you have mentioned. I have selected Geolocate option for “Default customer location” setting in the WooCommerce. Here is the screenshot for your reference: https://prntscr.com/ltehkt

Then I have set up Tax for Australia country. As we are based in India. You can see this screenshot: https://prntscr.com/ltehxy

After that, I have abandoned a cart with one product. The price of the product is Rs.399. And it doesn’t calculate the Tax. Here is the screenshot of Checkout page: https://prntscr.com/lteiog

On the Abandoned Orders tab and in the abandoned cart reminder email, it shows the same price. Screenshot: https://prntscr.com/ltfi33 , https://prntscr.com/ltfiih

Can I please request you to share with us screenshot of the relevant WooCommerce Settings and URL of your website?

    Regards,
    Chetna Bhutka
