  • I can’t get it to work.. I have read all about the comme-separated csv format and all that, but every time I try to upload/import the csv I get the message:
“No user was successfully imported, please check the error log.”

And I already have activated the WP_DEBUG, and still there is no error log to find.
    Anyone who can help?

    Thanks a lot.

I’m having the same problem –

No user was successfully imported, please check the error log.

… but the file linked to (/wp-content/uploads/is_iu_errors.log) is blank.

This is happening on my MAMP testing environment and the LAMP hosting I’m using for the live site, with the simplest example of an import:

    “user_login”,”user_email”,”user_pass”,”first_name”,”last_name”,”display_name”,”role”
    “test”,”[email protected]”,”test”,”test”,”test”,”test”,”test”

It didn’t work for me when I exported from Excel. I am not sure how much tried to tweak the settings for export. In the end I opened the Excel spreadsheet in LibreOffice (free). There I made sure to export it comma separated with quotation marks. And it imediately imported everything perfectly.

Can’t say fi there is more to it, but before that, it just didn’t work at all and didn’t create an error log. Would be awesome if the error message could be updated to include why the file doesn’t work instead of the one generic message for everything.

I have unassociated Excel from any spreadsheet files so that it is not a default for any of them, I’ve created the file in OfficeLibre, when I save it I do so with the following parameters: Text CSV (.csv), The field delimiter is a comma, The text delimiter is quotes, The “Quote all text cells” is checked (though I’ve tried it both ways.

I still get the No user was successfully imported, please check the error log message.

    Can anyone make another suggestion?
