  • If the user does not check the comment check box in wordpress 4.9.6, the message “Your comment is pending approval” is not displayed

    Is this normal?

    The approval pending message should not appear in both cases?

    It is a bad experience for the user since he will not know if his comment has been sent correctly

    I refer to the new checkbox that has been implemented in wordpress 4.9.6 for New data protection law in Europe and that appears in the comments, which allows a user to save a cookie in the browser to avoid having to re-enter their data in the following comments.

    I have verified that if the user does not check that check box, the traditional message that tells the user that his comment is waiting to be approved is not shown, so the user will not know if his comment has been sent correctly or not .

    Should not that message appear whether the user marks this new box or not?

    Ahh I see. I’ve been using a third party GDPR plugin that adds a checkbox in the comment box
