If session expires trying to login back in (as admin) fails

    Its a bit of a strange on e- plugin is brilliant and always has been working perfectly! However the last update has given me an odd occurrence

    I login admin as admin user and complete the maths questions – all fine

    I don’t click logout I just close the window down and go do something else

    then a few hours later I need to make another change – so head to login page again and this time I see the login box but with NO math question – insert username & password and its fails saying “answer is incorrect” – ie the maths answer from last login time I believe

    To get back in I have to
    1. clear history
    2. clear cache
    3. close down firefox and restart (presume clears session?)

    Its a bit of a pain as I am in and out of 20+ blog most days in my job

    Any ideas what switch I have used to cause this – I could turn off maths question but I like the fact its added security and would rather not

    I switched off force lockout – thinking it was that – but made no difference

    Any ideas please?

    So sorry not sure how I missed those 2 threads on my search!
    Anyway I think its the same as the 1st thread but different on the 2nd thread – in that I have not attempted to change the login page url – ever

    this site doesn’t have a cache plugin module either

    I will await the latest release and see if that resolves it – as its a recent issue whether your module or a clash with another – I will wait and see

    I have seen a new release now so I have updated and I will report back if it still does it – thank you and sorry for not finding other threads

    yes just tested it – I had to wait a little bit between closing down and going back in – and sadly I still get the same issue

    no math captcha showing and therefore I get this error:

    ERROR: Your answer was incorrect – please try again.

    if I clear cache – works
    if I logout everytime- works
    if I do neither it doesn’t

    It does not seem to know that a session is still running

    Hi Sarah, do you have the following feature enabled Enable Force WP User Logout? This is located at WP Security -> User Login -> Force Logout.

    No I unchecked that as I thought that could be the issue – but it didn’t make any difference

    Oh no cache plugins either
