The plugin copies src to data-src, however, before it does that it runs esc_url() on the URL, which is going to remove any “<” characters. Given that, the only way to not do that would be to not “escape” or not clean the URLs before putting them in, which isn’t something we will do. So, all of that to say that unfortunately there won’t be a way to use our lazy loader with that functionality.
