If I upload one image through your plugin, will it make 3 images file?

  • Hi, I wonder if your plugin will make 3 image files(thumnail, medium, and large size) if I uplaod one image.

    I uploaded some images through FTP, and some images through Media.
    And I noticed that WP doesn’t recognize files that I uploaded through FTP.

    So I decided to download all media files to local computer, and reset media, and upload media again to server through FTP, and to register bulk media by using your plugin.

    However if your plugin make multiple size of images file per each image, then I will have so many images files.

    Please confirm this.

    Creating multiple thumbnails is a standard WordPress feature.
    Please try Media Library -> Add New.
    If you don’t want to create multiple thumbnails, try the following plugin.
    Disable Generate Thumbnails

    By the way, is there a way to delete all thumbnails which was created automatically by WP?

    If it is possible, I can do like below.
    1. delete all thumbnails which was created automatically by wordpress
    2. download all media through FTP
    3. Reset media
    4. Upload all media files again through FTP
    5. register all media files by using Bulk media register.

    Please let me know if it is possible scenario.
    I worry that newly generated media thumnails might have different file name(actual or virtual) because of different version of php or wordpress, so thumbnail which used for some prodcuts might doesen’t show correctly.
