If i update to 1.24, wooservices fails in many ways

    You have version 1.23.2 installed. Update to 1.24.0

    I’ve been using woocommerce services for about 2 years on this current server primarily for USPS shipping.

    I am currently trying to update my site to use the most up to date woocommerce plugins… I’ve tried now 3 times, and restored server backups, but regardless of what combination of updates I’ve tried the result is the same.

    If I upgrade to 1.24.0, all of the shipping related items fail.

    On order pages, the shipping label section fails to load and gives the error:
    Section failed to load, check the status page for troubleshooting

    so you are unable to print labels or view tracking info for existing labels.

    On the customer check out, there are various bugs with shipping rate display.

    On the status page, it also fails to load, so there is no way to even turn on debugging. In place of woocommerce services status, it displays the same error about Section failed to load? check the status page…

    At first I thought it was a problem with woocommerce 4.3.2 but I have also tried updating the wooservices plugin, but not updating woocommerce past 4.2, neither option worked.

    I also tried switching versions of PHP, but it had no effect regardless of which version of php I tried.

    So I feel stuck. I am not sure how to proceed. I’d like to have the site up to date and retain the ability to print usps labels. Also looking forward to being able to offer UPS labels.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there,

    If you disable every other plugin except for WooCommerce and WooCommerce Services then update, does everything look good? If it does, update the other WooCommerce extensions, then re-enable all other plugins one-by-one to see if there’s a conflict at play here.

    I finally had time to shut the site down, and deactivate all the plugins except ones crucial to testing this issue…

    Every plugin, wordpress, woocommerce, is up to date and connected.

    right now, the top row of my woocommerce dashboard will not load. it shows greyed out boxes where the first row of small boxes should be.

    On order pages, again, the shipping label functionality will not load, and gives me the same error

    It does show if an order has already purchased a shipping label, but the tracking numbers are not clickable links.

    I have tried with multiple themes including the built in themes by automatic. none of them seem to have any affect on these issues.

    I updated to the most recent version of PHP. no difference.

    I’ve tried disabling all the plugins (except those listed above which are required to keep the site connected to jetpack, and to woo services.) one by one, and as a group. no difference.

    There is clearly an issue with the wooservices plugin and the new versions of woo and wp.

    This is incredibly frustrating. I had hoped that a month after originally complaining, this would
