If cannot create Database

  • hello! im seriously new to this thing, but am eager to know more! well nuff for the starters…

    the question is what should i do if cannot create a new database at https://synthpop.ru/phpMyAdmin/, i mean when i log in there is no possibily to create a new one, also it is written “no priviledges”

    the sex is that currently my site is alreadt running a database, and it’s a phpnuke driven site, so as i get it phpnuke wholelly occupies the existing one, thus i cannot create another one yet and am afraid to ruin the running one by implementing wordpress unadvisedly.

    is it possible to build WP over or i must have another database handy?

  • You can use the same database if you like. That’s why WP has the table prefix option. As long as none of the Nuke table beging with WP (and I don’t see why they would) you are OK.

    yep, yer right there, i checked and didnt find any clue it begins with wp now.
    so i think it’s better to backup it first since it’s not fool-proof ??
