• Hi,
I have set up a gallery in which thumbnails are saved and displayed as square cropped thumbnails. On clicking thumbnail a full sized image is displayed. FF does it perfectly – wouldn’t it.

However, IE6 on hover over thumbnail tries to redisplay thumbnail to reduced ‘correct proportions’. IE6 then displays full sized version of jpeg but the height dimension is incorrect.

Click this jpeg and the jpeg is displayed as a single image in the browser in the correct proportions. Click return button and jpeg on WP page assumes correct proportions. I have looked at the html source code read by browser and full size dimensions are correctly written to page.

Is this an image cache problem in IE6? If so, is there a php coding solution to help poor old IE6? I have tried css styling but to no avail.

Surely this problem has affected other WP users – trawling the net has as yet produced no instances or answers.

    Thanks
