Hi, I tested it in IE so I know it works in IE. Something else is causing a conflict on your site. Can you please share a URL of the page where you have the audio player on your site so I can view it in IE9?

I have it on about 150 different pages on my site – here is one:

Ok really weird. Here’s another thing I just noticed. If you navigate to a page on my site where the audio plugin is being used the play button yields no result. BUT, if you reload the page (F5) then the audio works.

    So what’s the problem?

    Hi,

Please take a look on my website.its working in firefox but not working in IE. Here is URL:

    Thanks for help

Thank you for the link. I just went to that link using IE and the audio player is working fine for me. I am using IE 9 and 10 though. What version of IE are you using?

    I am using IE10

As I mentioned above, the only way the audio works when I land on a page that is not cached is if I reload the page.

Can you confirm that the following pages have functioning audio on your first visit without doing an F5 on the page?

    https://www.pianopronto.com/shop/movement-4-level4/

    https://www.pianopronto.com/shop/christmas-classics-volume2/

I am using IE9 in two different laptop. which both have same operating system, same browser version, same flash version.
In one laptop its working perfectly but
in the other the play button is showing and working but there is no sound. Have you any idea ?

@jennifer, The audios work fine in IE from the “movement-4-level4” page without any refresh.

The audio files in the following page doesn’t work nicely in IE so I want to investigate this a little:
    https://www.pianopronto.com/shop/christmas-classics-volume2/
Can you tell me exactly what shortcodes you have used in the above page to embed the audio files?

@wwaaqqaass, I have checked your page from different computers using IE9 and they all work ok for me. I think something is different on the laptop where it doesn’t work and is causing the sound issue.

Now its working on my both systems, i have checked it ie7+ and its working perfect in all IE versions.

    thanks for your response.

I noticed there was an update to the plugin. I have installed that and tested it today but still face the same problem in IE of needing to Refresh the page to get sound to play. I also noticed that the “Title” never shows on the tab upon refreshing – it stays stuck and replaces the real title with “Waiting for Piano Pronto…”

I use the same short-code on every page:

    [sc_embed_player fileurl=”https://www.pianopronto.com/Audio/ChristmasClassics/silent-night-int.mp3″ dl=”0″]

@jennifereklund, I just checked that shortcode that you shared on my test server and it works correctly on IE. So now I am pretty sure the issue is not with the shortcode or the Audio player plugin. Some HTML code on that page is conflicting in IE and causing this issue. You can do the following test yourself to verify what I am saying:

Create a new test WordPress page then enter the audio player shortcode (don’t add anything on this page except the shortcode). This way you will be able to see that the audio player works correctly.

No dice ?? I tried what you suggested and still the audio won’t work on a first load, but will upon hitting F5.

I guess this is a conflict with WooCommerce? I can’t think of any other solution other than that. I have deactivated any other third party plugins and this still happens. (I.E. Jetpack Lite has been a source of problems in the past).

Only other thing I can think of is that my SSL certificate is somehow blocking the file from loading?

Here’s the test page I created: (this is a page, not a “product”, but I tested it both ways and it didn’t work)

I think you are correct on that SSL thing. IE is throwing the following error on your site when a page loads:

SEC7111: HTTPS security is compromised by ....

I am pretty sure this is causing the plugin to not load correctly on IE.

You should contact your hosting provider and fix that SSL error/issue.
