IE11 issue

    The background image will not load in Internet Explorer 11. It works fine in Chrome and Firefox. The loading circle just keeps spinning indefinitely.

    Hi,

    This isn’t true.

    We checked it repeatedly on IE 11 today.

    It takes time to load however it loads fine on IE 11.

    I would hardly call this resolved. Allow me to re-phrase the support issue: MY IMPLEMENTATION of SKT Full Width theme does not work in IE11. It works fine in Chrome and Firefox. This is a brand new WordPress installation on a brand new Windows Server 2008 R2 installation. This is the only theme I have installed, and have only installed one plugin, Simple Intranet. I have tested from Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, I have also tested IE9, IE8 and they also experience the same issue. Since this is an internal intranet site, I cannot post a link to access it. I would be happy to post screen shots, configuration details, etc.. Though as I said, this is a new and vanilla installation.

    I downloaded and tested out some other themes, and found that IE11 appears to have a rendering issue with wordpress themes, in particular with background images.

    I was able to resolve the issue by modifying the header.php to force IE to emulate IE10

    ‘<meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=EmulateIE10″>’
