IE10 and WordPress 3.9.1 Visual Editor Problem

  • The plugin seem to cause an issue with the visual editor in WordPress 3.9.1

    The editor doesn’t load correctly and just show some code.

    Using IE’s developer tools I see the following JS error displayed in the console:

    SCRIPT438: Object doesn’t support property or method ‘addUnload’

    admin.js, line 73 character 17

    The visual editor works correctly in Chrome and Firefox.

    Any ideas for a fix would be much appreciated.

  • You can edit line 72 of the admin.js file to be:
    if (tinymce.isIE && tinymce.addUnload) {

    But, this plugin has at least a couple of other bugs, the most important probably being that it can’t handle extra whitespace inside HTML tags.
