IE will only display site in compatibility mode

Hi all,

My site displays fine in all browsers (that I have tested), except for certain installations of IE8. I say certain because it works on some installations of IE8 and not others.

When you open the site it produces:

This tab has been recovered….a problem with this webpage caused internet explorer to close and reopen the tab

Then redirects to:

res://ieframe.dll/acr_error.htm#conwy.sch.uk,https://www.johnbright.conwy.sch.uk/”

To troubleshoot, I have unistalled and re-installed plugins one-by-one. I have also disabled add-ons in IE.

The only way I can get it to work is by forcing IE into compatibility mode.

It seems to validate ok.

I’m stuck for ideas now – can anyone shed any light?
