IE super slow loading

    Page almost refuses to load in IE

    https://nickdymond.com or https://nickdymond.com/wordpress/ (which is JUST the wordpress blog)

    Of course Firefox works great. When I view it in IE 6 it sometimes can take up to a whole minute to load. The strange thing is that it was running perfectly when I only had 2 or less posts. When I add the third or more, it happens.

    I thought it could be something with the WPG2 plugin that I couldn’t seem to get working. So I uninstalled it, made a new mysql DB and started all over. I thought that it fixed the problem but when I started adding back my posts, BAM 3 or more = problem is back.

    I tried deactivating my SH-Autolink plugin and have no others running. Still same problem.

    I know everyone here hates IE and we all understand that in a perfect world, FF would be the standard, but alas, for the aunts and grandma’s out there that don’t know that IE even is a “browser” I have to get this to work.

    Have you tried deactivating all of your active plugins?

    Yes I have tried deactivating. Made no difference.

    I have “patched” the problem by limiting my posts to displaying only 2. This doesn’t fix the actual problem because when I move it back higher, it still persists. I would still appreciate any insight into why this happens and/or how to fix it permanately. But I suppose this will do for now. (For all I knwo it’s only on my computer)

    I think I have the same pb.

    It was VERY slow for the editing/posting articles in the admin… Even when clicking for posting a new article…

    I made tests and tried everything (removed ping services and the preview panel) and it ended up being very very quick with Firefox and FOR SOME WEIRD reason, still very slow with IE6. (I think it has to do with some IE6 settings on my comp, or some firewall behaviour.)

    That’s not so bad… I use Firefox most of the time… But I wish I knew where this comes from…

    For me on IE 6.0.2900, it loaded all of the left side graphics, one at a time, before it got to the rest of the site.

    Might want to try addressing these 194 errors:
