I just created a wordpress website and it appears and works great using Firefox. But, when I try to view the site using Internet Explorer I only get the home page heading – nothing else.

What can I do to correct this?

    I appreciate your help,
    KarenCV

  • A link to your site would help.

Have you been pasting content into post from Word by any chance?

    Hi,

Sorry, I wasn’t able to get back here sooner.

    My site is: https://www.dkvwriting4u.com

And, yes, I have pasted content into some areas.

I would greatly appreciate some help.

    Thanks,
    Karen

You can’t paste directly from Word. It inserts code that makes IE go haywire. You can do one of a few things to get content from a Word file to WordPress:

    1) Copy and paste the content first into notepad, then copy and paste to WordPress
    2) Use the “Paste from Word” button on the write post/page wysiwyg editor
    3) Paste the content into the write post panel, then switch to the HTML view and remove all the extra code

    Asechrest,

I corrected the problem with my text and also turned off the Microsoft Compatibility Mode for IE8.

I am now visible in IE.

    Thank you again,
    Karen
