    Hi,

I’ve installed the latest CF7 version on a few sites now and all works fine across all major browsers apart from IE (11) where I get the error:

SCRIPT438: Object doesn’t support property or method IE

Its in relation to the index.js within the includes/js folder. Anyone had the same issue? I’ve tried numerous sites and can confirm its not the theme or plugins.

    Cheers

IE is pretty much EOL now. I’m guessing CF7 may not work with it going forward. IE only has 2% worldwide marketshare at this point. Does it really matter anymore?

New feature development for the browser was discontinued in 2016 in favor of their new browser Microsoft Edge. Since Internet Explorer is a Windows component and is included in long-term lifecycle versions of Windows such as Windows Server 2019, it will continue to receive security updates until at least 2029. Microsoft announced in August 2020 that as of August 2021, web-based Microsoft 365 products will no longer support Internet Explorer, while Microsoft Teams ended support for IE earlier in November 2020.

Thanks for your response. I agree about IE being EOL and have tried to communicate that with my client but because the last version worked and this one doesn’t they have reported it as an issue and the only patch at the moment is to revert

I cannot still believe they are hanging on. Government clients can be like that too.

    Hi,

We are also experiencing issues with CF7 latest update (5.4)
The latest version is showing JS errors with Google Maps, though SCRIPT5005, SCRIPT5022 etc. are errors related to GMaps and wp-polyfill, they are just showing on IE with the latest CF7 version, as soon as the previous CF7 version (5.3.2) is rolled back, all the JS errors are gone.

We have tested multiple sites, and all of them have the same behavior: Maps not showing due to JS errors after CF7 latest update.

Please Let us know if anything we can assist to help solving this issue.

    Cheers,
