    My site is perfect if FF, but IE has some issues with it. I just updated to WP 3.1.2 without activating my child theme, hoping my CSS was the problem–alas, it still looks like crap.

    My three problems:
    1.widget titles are huge in IE, so I end up with wrapped text.
    2.footers are center justified instead of left
    3.4th footer is not where it belongs on right hand side of screen, but below the other footers.

    anyone have a fix?

    thanks esmi, you’re a life saver! i had made quite a mess.

    got it down to two errors, one of which is coming from a plugin. the other i simply don’t know what or where that is to go fix:
    Error Line 46, Column 56: Bad value for attribute href on element link: Must be non-empty.

    <link rel=”image_src” href=”” />
    do i *have* to fix this one?

    so my footers now look normal in IE. does these last two errors effect the widget titles?

    If that markup is being generated by a plugin, there isn’t a lot you can do about it – except complain to the plugin’s developer ??

    OY VEY.

    i fixed it all up. it was beautiful and perfect in IE. i carefully checked after each subsequent change i made and it remained perfect. i walked away. now the widget titles are back to huge, and a new glitch: the header is all crazy looking as well. i re-ran the validator. same two errors as before, which don’t appear to be causing the IE problems.

    halp!
