IE bug

I am running a current version of WP and and older version (the one before). My older version is just fine, no problems. My new version was also running just fine until I decided to reassign it to a different folder. I closed down the old database, opened a new database, and as long as I don’t try to write a post, I can move around inside all the admin places.
Each time I have tried to write a post, (there isn’t one there yet) I get an IE error saying it has to shut down and do I want a report sent. You know which error dialogue box I mean?
Has anyone ever seen something like this, and or any ideas as to what I can do to rectify it.
