• I am about to make my third webpage on wordpress but I am totally frustrated as I have no idea how to even start. I’ve created the new login with the new domain. I know the theme I want. But now it wants me to download wordpress and extract and then create a database. I never did that before so I am totally lost. I don’t know what to extract and haven’t a clue how to create a database and can’t understand why 3 months ago I didn’t need to when I created a site. Surely I am missing something obvious? I really appreciate the help but please respond in non-technical language. By the way, I’m not doing multi-sites under one login. Each is separate. In other words, my other two websites work well and they are totally separate. Can’t wait for someone to give me the really simple and obvious thing I’ve missed! ??

  • Hi @paulhabitatcom ,

Could you please let us know which hosting provider you have purchased?

Mostly hosting providers do have the feature to install the wordpress from cPanel.

Please contact hosting provider if they have this feature. If not then please drop your response here so I can brief you the steps.

it won’t work with my site, i think i don’t have fill in all the information correct. But don’t now what i do wrong

    Hello

As Mr Ketan Vyawahare says, you may have an option at the Cpanel (if you have a Cpanel) to install WordPress as you describe.
I will show how to install WordPress using Cpanel (a typical web hosting panel) and Softaculous (a standard option in the Cpanel).

Some web hosting providers use their panel, and these may have access to the Cpanel, like the one on this image https://imgur.com/0eyLHnb
After you enter in the Cpanel scroll down: https://imgur.com/PJFvftN
    Then press install: https://imgur.com/tJzTooZ

I hope this is what you mean when you said: “Can’t wait for someone to give me the really simple and obvious thing I’ve missed!”

Let us know if you have a different panel providing an image or a name.

    Best Regards.
