    Hi Again,

    A new little issue I have been having with Google Shopping.

    The g:identifier_exists isn’t being set?
    I have created a Field Mapping for g:identifer_exists and set the Prefix to “Yes” but this doesn’t seem to be working as expected?

    Any ideas?

  • Hi @myatix,

    In one of the upcoming released we will add a proper implementation for the g:identifier_exist field.

    Thanks for reporting it.

    Looking forward to this fix… Thanks for the reply! ??

    @myatix,

    You can now use the ‘Static value’ option in the attribute mapping section to fill in a static yes in your product feed.

    This is ofcourse not the most prettiest solution as the plugin should automatically detect if the value of the identifier_exists should be yes or no. Expect that feature in one of the upcoming releases ??

    Have a nice weekend,

    @myatix,

    I just pushed out a release that supports the identifier_exists field for Google Shopping. Just download version 1.4.8 of the plugin and you can use the feature.

    Just select the g:identifier_exists attribute and map it to ‘Plugin calculation’. The plugin will now, based on the brand, mpn and gtin values of the product, determine itself if the value of g:identifier_exists needs to be yes or no.

    See this screenshot for a mapping example:

    Let me know if it works our for you.

    Best,
    Joris

    Hi Joris.

    In the latest version of the plugin, even if you type “no” as a static value, the feed also shows “Yes”.

    Yes that is probably right as it is a auto-calculate field. It takes a look at the unique identifiers and brand belonging to a product and determines if the value should be yes or no. Why would you want to override this?

    I just realized what you’re saying. If a GTIN or MPN is set, the value is Yes automatically.

    I wanted to overwrite the value to No for all products, but as it is working perfectly.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    You’re welcome ??

    Joris, correct me if I am wrong, but I think the identifier_exists is behaving incorrectly.

    Google merchant says:

    If your product is new (which you submit through the condition attribute) and it doesn’t have a gtin and brand or mpn and brand then submit identifier_exists with a value of no.

    I have a new product, with brand and MPN, but g:identifier_exists says No. When i delete the brand, the g:identifier_exists says Yes.

    Shouldn’t it be just the opposite?

    @adrianleira

    There was a small bug in the plugin indeed, should be solved now.
    Can you update to version 2.1.1 of the plugin and give it a try?

    Best,
    Joris

    It works fine ??

    Thanks Jaris by the support.

    Hi,

    I think i detected a small bug. When we have g:identifier_exists set to “Custom attribute” which have “no” in the “Custom attribute” field on the product. it still calculates Yes on identifer_exist in pricefile in Google Shopping.

    Can you please help us? Thanks!
