Ideas for an Interactive Annual Report

Hi,

I work at a nonprofit and we would love to create an interactive annual report like the one Charity Water did in 2012, but I have no idea where to start. I was thinking is it possible to add a onepage template to an Annual Report page? If so, how would I do that? And would having a theme and template running at the same time bog my website down?
