iDeal payment got cancelled at user side – no entry at my side

I migrated to the new Paypal Payments plugin yesterday, and put on social media that we now accept iDeal and creditcard payments.
Everything seems to work as far as I could test (like ordering as a guest, until I could actually accept the iDeal payment, after logging into a bank account).
But one customer sent me a message that his order got cancelled, with the message (in Dutch, so translated here): “Your payment on 18 June 2023 to ByteDelight could not be completed” with information about a refund that could take a couple of days.
I found no entry in my order list in WooCommerce, nor anything in my Paypal transactions.
Any idea what is going on? Maybe it all takes a day or so, before it can be used?
I have no clue.I am worried that the same happens with other customers, even with creditcard payments maybe.
Since there is nothing to be found in my transactions anywhere, I can’t see if anyone else is dealing with this.
