[IDEA] Multiple votes per idea per user

    Would it be possible to add an option to allow multiple votes on a given idea? We’re planning on extending your setup to use a point pile per user to control the amount they can vote but if we can just get multiple votes per user to start that would be great.

    I don’t have any current plans for such a feature. So you are saying a user might have like 10 votes allotted to them and they can use those votes however they want including voting on 1 idea 10 times?

    Yup. That’s exactly what we’re looking at. We’re planning on using this as a part of our service to gauge what our subscribers want us to be working on. Our plan is to give them a bucket of points to do a myriad of things with on the site. One of those activities would be voting up ideas they really like so if they’re a higher tier subscriber and really like an idea, they could dump their points on votes.

    If you’re not open to it or interested that’s fine. It’ll just give us a better idea of how much we’ll need to modify either the system or our plans.

    Sounds interesting. Yeah it’s something I would need to think about further. This kind of feature I believe would have pretty considerable impact on the code. I recommend doing this yourself and I will let you know if I decide to pursue it. Thanks,

    Thanks. It’s probably something we’ll pursue but try to handle without mucking with stuff too much to avoid breakage:)
