Idea: Add the functionality to Disable Blocks

    There are several plugins out there that allow disabling of blocks so that they don’t show at all when editing a post. I think it would be a great addition to Block Visibility to add a “Disable Blocks” tag to the settings so we can specify which blocks actually show in the editor. Yes, it can be done with another plugin like “Disable Unused Blocks” or “Block Manager”, but IMO it would make a great addition to Block Visibility.

    Hi Norm,

    Thanks for the feature request. While, I agree being able to control what blocks are available is a common need, I believe this functionality is more suitable in another plugin. Personally, I just disable blocks I never use with a code snippet, which is often simpler than needing a separate plugin. Here’s an article on the subject I wrote a while ago.
