Icons not showing up in WP3.8

Hi there,
the plugin doesn’t work in my wordpress theme. First, the link to my site:
https://www.damianmurdochtrio.com/wordpress/I tried it on a few other of my wordpress site and they appear to work nowhere. I guess it’s a theme bug, because it works in the twentyfourteen default theme….
Maybe you could take a look at it… the icons should appear in the top (for now) red box.
Thanks for any ideas on how to solve this problem.
