    Hi @studentfilmmakers,

can you please temporarily disable all other 3rd party plugins and see if it changes? I assume there’s another plugin (or also maybe even the theme) loading a different version of FontAwesome across the entire WordPress admin area.

If that solves the issue, please turn plugins back on one by one to see which one is causing the issue.

    Best,
    David

    Hi David,

I deactivated the plugins I could part with. The remaining plugin have to stay and it’s still not working. If you have some ideas on how to make it work with my remaining plug ins I will try them but I can’t remove a plug-in for this one that is working for us and that we are using.

Deactivating and checking if it makes any difference is just a matter of seconds. Please consider giving it a try.

Other than that, there’s one setting that you can try. On the Ultimate Dashboard settings page, there is a setting called “Remove Font Awesome”. Please try to tick this off and see if it makes any difference.

If there’s another plugin loading a different verison of FA across the entire WordPress admin, we let them take over. Keep in mind, this is only a partial solution and won’t likely work with FontAwesome 4. It might not make a difference at all – it’s more or less just an attempt.

Is there any way I can create my own icons and insert them somehow or another way to link to the posting page? I wanted to set it up like your tutorial video with the create a new post widget.
