Icons loading time

    Hi. google lighthouse test shows the generatepress font and my custom fontawesome icons set loading at a combined time of nearly a 1+ seconds. I was wondering, do browsers cache these icons on the first-time visit?

    Hi there,

    Yes, browsers should cache those files.

    The GP font is around 1kb, so it should only account for a tiny bit of that load time.

    We usually do a Black Friday sale the week Friday, November 29.

    Good to know. I tried replacing my icons with svgs but it is hard to change the colour of those svgs from black to any other and I don’t want to use pngs.

    I wish I had known earlier known about this theme. I am trying to sell and transfer my theme forest license to buy generate press premium. If I cannot, then I will have to wait until black Friday. Your theme is like 5k in my currency which is kynda a lot (seems you increased price recently from $39?)

    SVGs can be tricky like that. We’ll have a built-in solution soon.

    Yes, we did up it recently. Keep an eye on our site – we have a 5 year anniversary coming up in May ??
