  • I thought the same. There are icons but only in combination with buttons or other shortcodes.

Is it possible to add an icon in front of normal text or numbers? For example a phone icon in front of the phone number?

What brought me back to this plugin is I saw it on a client site and made a note that it had Font-Awesome or Glyphicons Icon Fonts, which I thought may be handy.

I’m going to check out Bootstrap Shortcodes and Easy Bootstrap Shortcodes.

Its rather unfortunate that this plugin does not include Font Awesome, or Glyphicons. I understand this is not a Bootstrap based plugin so i can understand that there is no Glyphicons, but Font Awesome is so easy to implement.

Anyways, i find that most other plugins include Font Awesome anyway and if none of your active plugins use FA(Font Awesome) then there is a FA plugin.

All you need to do, once one of your plugins have FA, is to add ‘fa fa-*’ class to the additional class field in Shortcodes Ulimate shortcodes and there you have it. FA icons at your disposal.

Even though Shortcodes Utimate does include FA itself, it will recognise the usage of the FA classes.

I integrated Font Awesome myself, following this guide. As kbam7 already said, it is pretty easy. Basically just adding link you add to your header php.

I used to use Easy Bootstrap Shortcodes but it has become extremely resource hungry and also didn’t work quite well on IE. That’s why I was looking for something similar. What’s missing in this Shortcodes Ultimate is the Dropdown Button… I guess you can’t have everything ??
