icon images not scaled?

    I ran my site through gtmetrix, and it keeps saying to “serve scaled images” particularly with the social icons. It says the icons are resized in html or css from 100px to 40px. Is there a way to make augmentations for this so that my site is faster? Thanks!

    The speed improvement would be insignificant. We resize the images with CSS because there’s the feature to specify the icons’ size under question number 6 in the plugin’s settings. Different users use different icon sizes.
