You can do it easily with Font Awesome 4 Menus plugin.

It’s probably some styling done by the plugin that conflicts with the theme. You can add menu icons without a plugin; check this post.

For the sidebar title try this css:

.s2 .social-links {
    float:none;
}

For the menu:
