    First, you have a stray a on line 6 of the source of your site?

    a<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1" />

    Remove that and see if it helps. It’s probably in your theme functions file.

    Thanks for your reply:

    //* Add viewport meta tag for mobile browsers
    add_theme_support( 'genesis-responsive-viewport' );

    I guess this line is responsible, If I delete it will I remove mobile support?
    Thanks for your help.

    If you remove that line you do lose the responsive design.

    But, that’s not the line. The stray a has to be somewhere else. Have you tried turning off all your plugins except SSI & check to see whether the a is still there. If it’s still there then the stray a is in your theme. If not then it’s in one of your plugins.

    Thanks for reply, it seems there is a conflict with a plugin.
    I have another social media plugin (for likes) when I deactivate
    it my side bar moves to the centre of the page which is not a theme option??
    Problems started after upgrade to WordPress 3.9 and the subsequent plugin updates.
    I will do some trial and error work and try to work out the answer.

    Thanks for your advice.
