When I try to import events from an ical file, it does not import the urls (ones found in the description of an event) into real urls. They are just text. How can I fix this so it converts the url found in description into a real clickable url automatically? My other calendar programs do this but not this one.

    Thanks!

  • Hi @chenz2,

The description fields are fully HTML compatible. So if in the description field you are given a URL, it will appear as just the URL.

The source calendar owner must make sure to make the URL clickable by adding HTML to the links, for example:

“Click here to go to https://www.google.com

Right but if the links are just links and there is no HTML in the description, how do I get your calendar to show them as clickable links? When I import it into other calendars, it renders the URL (from the ical file) as a link, like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/HdvXGBUrzdP

Whereas yours is just importing as regular text.

No way to auto convert urls from text to clickable urls?

    Hi @chenz2,

Our calendar app displays the raw text as presented in the description field of the ICS file or feed, because this data is from an event feed, we do not tamper with it to avoid breaking sync operation.
