More generally, does this plugin calculate uniqueness such that 2 requests from the same IP / same user agent are counted as 1? If so, what is the lookback window for calculating uniqueness?

Hi all, thanks for the message here. Yes SS Stats does collect and process stats according to the IAB guidelines, but we have not gone through the IAB certification program. If you benchmark SS Stats against an IAB certified stats provider like Podtrac I think you’ll see that the numbers are extremely close. We sure hope so at least, and have seen that in our testings.

To your specific question about discerning multiple listens from the same IP address in a given time no, to my knowledge this check is not in the codebase at this time.

Thanks for this update. I’m confused about how the first and second part of your response can both be the case.

The IAB standards, for instance, require that if you receive 2 downloads within 24 hours from the same IP address and the same user agent, they are only counted as 1 ‘unique’ download.

Are you saying that SS Stats does or does not count those 2 downloads as unique downloads?
