IA Panel isnt working at Network Level in WordPress Multisites

    Hi!

    I’m managing a WP Multisite instalation and just installed IA. I activated it at network level and a Independent Analytics item was added to the bottom of my sidebar. However, when I click it, I recieve the mesage “Cannot load independent-analytics.”.

    When I do that, the sidebar at site level doesn’t change, but a link to the IA-panel appears at the IA plugin in plugins list. When I click it, I recieve the same mesage that is showed at network level. The same happen when I click “Open Control Panel” in the IA-widget on site panel.

    If I activate the plugin just at site level, all works normally. The IA-panel item is added to the side bar under the site panel and I can access it. The error is showed only if the plugin is activate at network level.

    Also, the track is still happening. It’s just the panel that is not reachable.

    I already tried to deactivate/reactivate and uninstall/reinstall the plugin, but nothing had change. I installed WP Debugging to see something in the logs, but no log was created.

    Thanks for getting in touch about this.

    I am able to recreate this error and I have a couple of ways to fix it. First, if you check your network admin email’s inbox, you should have an email asking you to confirm your account. That will resolve the issue.

    Alternatively, you can visit this URL on your website and delete the Independent Analytics account: website.com/wp-admin/network/admin.php?page=freemius

    Then deactivate and reactivate the plugin. This time, on the opt-in page, click the “Skip” button and then you will be able to access the Analytics menu in all of the sub-sites.

    Hi, Ben!

    Thanks for the help. I tried the second method because there was a typo in the admin e-mail, so that e-mail was not recieved. Now I can acess the Analytics in all my sites.

    However, this time, everytime I activated the plugin, I recieve the following error mesage. This happen even if I unistall/reinstall the plugin.

    PHP Deprecated: strip_tags(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in FOLDER/wp-admin/admin-header.php on line 36

    I tried to deactivate the plugin at network level and reactivate it at sub-site level to check if the same would happen. In that case, the mesage wasn’t showed and everything looks good. After that, I deactivated the plugin at site level and reativated it at network level and this erros mesages was showed.

    I deleted again the Independent Analytics account at freemius page and now it again only show the PHP Deprecated mesage when the plugin is activated.

    Okay thanks for letting me know.

    We will look into this error message and see if we can resolve it in our next update. For now, the message is only a deprecation warning, so there isn’t any broken functionality – it’s just a note for developers to make a change. If you turn off debugging, you won’t see this message anywhere on the site. You can disable debugging by flipping the WP_DEBUG constant to false in your wp-config.php file:

    define('WP_DEBUG', false);

    If you’d like to continue capturing error messages in your log, you could use the following code instead to save messages to the debug.log file, while preventing them from displaying anywhere on the site:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
