i0.wp.com – How to remove from related posts images?

We’re using a very basic version of Jetpack. We’ve only installed it for its related posts functionality.
Our site is self-hosted and every setting in Jetpack is turned off, but we cannot seem to make the images appear in related posts.
How can we remove the i0.wp.com in the URLs?
Is there a function we can add to remove the i0.wp.com in the URL? Has anyone found another workaround for this issue? Reinstall the plugin (Jetpack version 11.7)
