I have seen similar topics here, but apparently each case seems different.

For unknown time all my websites using Jetpack started to show some random photos as missing or not loading. All of them, on random pages, posts. Without any change and any action from my part. All of a sudden. Moreover the problem is like a ghost, I create a new page or post, all is good, the photos sit there in the dashboard and in the gallery and in while I reopen and 2,3 or more photos show as missing, not loading.

All the photos “missing” have the address beginning with i0.wp.com like here: https://i0.wp.com/www.skydiveatmosfera.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/skydive-atmosfera-affcourse-skydive-spain-kurs-aff-skoki-w-hiszpanii-0006.jpg?w=800&ssl=1

and the message is “We cannot complete this request, remote server returned an unexpected status code (400)“.

I don′t understand why it is happening, as all the photos I prepare exactly the same way and have no idea why some are OK and some not. I have spend a lot of time replacing and trying to figure it out. I spend hours on it, also talking to Filebird, Hestia and my provider supports and they have no idea how to fix it (quite suprising). Provider suggest restoring, but this is too radical, as I would loose a lot of work and moreover I have no idea when exactly the problem started.

After having read some advices I tried to remove Jetpack and yes the photos started to show normally, but then a lot of my pages just dissapeared, also all the Portofolio section with all my projects… so I restored and I am in the starting point again.

Sincerely, I’m on the verge of a serious nervous breakdown… please help ??????.

    Hi @skyula,

On the site you mention there, Jetpack has a connection issue.

While your site is publicly accessible, we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file:

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. It must return the following message:

    • XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

You can see a working example here:

Since your site returns a 404 error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    • Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, then click the “Reinstall” button.
    • Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
    • Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, please try to reconnect your site:

If you want to learn more details about XML-RPC and how it interacts with Jetpack, you can check out our detailed guide here: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-and-xml-rpc

Looking forward to your reply on how it went and then we will check for the Jetpack connection for your site again to check if things started working properly after the above steps. ??

I have exactly the same problem, but my site’s XML-RPC file returns the correct message:
