• I actually think it should be required, since database size (how many tables) is a big issue for hosts.

In the FAQ or doc notes it should what the tables are called since deleted a plugin usually leaves the tables behind.

I would love to but the cost is prohibitive right now. Some day…

    Yes, it is shared.

I have a multisite. The sub sites all have a different look. When I first looked into setting this up that was I the forums here recommended. There are 26 (I think subsites). The only plugin I currently use that adds tables is the relevanssi search(5 per blog). It adds up quick. I don’t see any reason in the foreseeable future to add new anything except content.

But anywho, that’s why I’d like to know how many tables a plugin will add before I even test it out.

I had gone over my limit with hostmonster who also has a 1000 table limit. They are basically the same company as BlueHost. Their tech support are very helpful when this happens, you can ask them to generate a file that will list each database in your account and the quantity of tables each has.

Thanks. I got set up with the phpadmin (its that the right title, that gives you access to your database). That helped me immensely when looking for unused tables from old plugins.

Side note: I almost popped a gasket when I found one plugin I tried that left 15 tables per blog. It was ridiculous.
