I would like to have my own content on my landing page

  • How do I get rid of the “Hello World” bullshit that this theme puts in place of my content in the default layout?

    Also, is it possible to get rid of “RESPONSIVE” at the top?

    Sorry if these are obvious questions, but I am allowed only one WordPress install on my host and so I have to work live. I can’t spend a lot of time with my site hijacked by a theme that displays content that isn’t mine.

  • Try the plugin “Ultimate coming soon”.
    Alternatively, you could take a backup/export of your posts and pages, import that to a test-site, and play around with themes, perhaps.

    In the meanwhile: Appearance -> Theme options -> Home page

    Thanks, the last did the trick. Very strange that by default the theme overrides your WordPress choice of landing page.

    That plugin is nice to know about as well.

    Also, for the benefit of anyone else wondering, “RESPONSIVE” is a header image, easily removed.
