    Hi There

Thank you for this awesome plugin.

I encountered the issue that the valid admin user (not a superuser) was blocked by the plugin in web and mobile environment and I don’t have any clue about this cause.

Could you please guide me through the possible reason and what can I do to prevent it?

Glad to help. When properly set up, the only way that Blackhole will block a user is if they click on the hidden blackhole trigger and end up in the Bad Bot Log. So then to unblock any user, visit the Bad Bot Log and remove them.

With that in mind, if you are sure that the blocked user never clicked on the hidden trigger link, then something is misconfigured. Most likely this is due to an incompatible caching plugin. Do you know if your site is running any sort of caching plugin?

    Hi Jeff

Thanks for the prompt response. Yes, my website uses W3 Total Cache plugin. However, all the settings for bad bots plugin are the default.

What could be the steps to prevent such occurrences? Thanks!

You can find more information about configuring cache plugins, which plugins are supported, etc., in the plugin documentation. Also here is a link that summarizes everything about Blackhole and caching plugins. Note that the article says it is for the pro version, but the information applies to free version as well.

Hi vivekshingala, did you get this sorted out? Gonna mark this thread as “resolved” to keep things organized. Please post again if I may be of service. Thank you.
