I want to remove the post feature

Hi! Hope someone can help me! I want to remove the opportunity to Write posts on my homepage. I do not want it to be like a blog, and therefore I don’t need the feature for constanly updates. I want it to be more static, so that the content is there for a longer period of time. When I see my homepage now, there is a error at the bottom of the page, saying
Error 404-Page NOT Found
