• Hello. I use the QuickAdsense plugin since many years and I like it. Last week I upgraded from version 2.0.1 to version 2.1 and my ads grew everywhere on my site.

Before, I had 3 ads coded directly into my theme and 3 other ads with the QuickAdsense plugin.

Now, after the update, I have 10 ads everywhere.

I erase the QuickAdsense plugin and I delivered the version 2.0.1. I redid all my ads but nothing to do.

I restored a backup of a week before the release of QucikAdsense version 2.1 of my MySQL database and the directory of my website and I still have the same problem.

    Look for yourself. https://www.sweepstakespit.com.

Surf the website and you will notice that the location of ads is not located in the same place from one page to another.

I used the QuickAdsense plugin for 300×250 ads format in 2015 and I have not used it since 2016.

Well since the update, QuickAdsense is going to search I don’t know where the code of my old 300×250 ads!

I have old unused advertising code for 2 years that is back on my website!!!

I checked if I had been hacked or if I had malicious code on my website but all advertising codes have my Google Adsense ID.

So in summary. I made the 2.1 update which gave me a lot of trouble. I restored a backup that gave nothing. I updated 2.2 and now I have 10 random ads on my site.

I use W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare. The cache is emptied at each change.

Today I received a message from Google Adsense telling me that I am abusing advertisements.

I try to remove the QuickAdsense plugin but the ads are still there … And yes, the cache is emptied at each change.

I don’t want to lose my Google earnings because of that.

It does not even work if I delete the plugin…

    Thank you.

  • Hello. If you have deleted the plugin, but the ads still show up, there are 2 possible reasons: 1) plugin was not deleted or maybe it was installed twice 2) the ads are inserted somewhere else (by another plugin, into a widget, directly into a theme or there are caching issues).
To determine what causes the problem, please, try to do the following:
    1) Check Appearance->widgets menu. Maybe you use Text widgets or similar ones with the ad code. Remove unnecessary widgets.
    2) Delete all quick-adsense folders in the wp-content/plugins directory (on the web server)
    3) Temporarily switch to the default theme. If ads do not show up on the default theme, but show up on the current one – that means the problem in theme, and you need to modify it. Or the cache was not completely cleaned.
    4) Temporarily disable all plugins. If ads disappear, that means they are inserted by another plugin. Enable plugins one-by-one to determine which one inserts the ads.
