I love when a plugin does one thing. One thing done very well. (For old advertising guys like me: I call it the Colonel Sanders rule. “We do one thing and we do it really well.”) And that’s why I came to love Really Simple SSL. It did it’s job. Really well.

But now it seems to have grown into something more. Trying to handle my site security. I don’t need or want that. I have a plugin to do that. I get wanting to grow, but perhaps a second plugin to address their aspirations to become a security plugin would have been a better solution.

And now I search for an SSL plugin that forces SSL. Period.

    Thank you.

    Hi @eburden,

Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it!

I am sorry to hear that you don’t like the added security features. I want to add that the plugin still does what it has always done: efficiently enforce SSL. We took a modular approach when developing the additional features. This means that if you disable all other features except the SSL-related ones, that no additional code will be loaded. Effectively this will provide you with the plugin you’re looking for.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have further questions or suggestions.

    Kind regards,
    Leon
