I think someone should try re-creating the "Pixel" theme with a modern upgrade

Obviously the author has no plans on updating this theme. It’s been left for a number of years now and someone should give it a try to re-create it with a modern kick to fully support and take advantage of the enhancements WordPress has gone through over the last so many years. Including the ability to swap out the background image behind the tables/layers for example. Or a better cosmetic approach to separating each post in the list so it doesn’t feel so busy and squished together. So many things can be done to customize that theme. ??
