I Think My Site Got Hacked

Note: The version of wordpress my site says I have is “4.5.2-en” … not just 4.5.2.

Something is seriously wrong with my site. We scheduled a post to go live this morning. When I logged onto the dashboard to check on it this morning, the post “Missed Schedule” and I also saw two comments for a post that I’ve noticed in the past has had numerous “spam’ comments, which I always mark as “spam”.

When I tried to “spam” the comments, they kept reappearing. They wont go away. We tried deleting the post to see if the problem went away, but neither the comments nor the post will delete.

In the meantime, it appears that our site is, all of sudden, using too much memory. We thought we had maxed out our storage space (we used godaddy) so we purchased additional storage space a few days ago. We shouldn’t be using nearly all of the 90 gbs that we have available. Godaddy says it isn’t an issue on their end, soI have a feeling out site must have been hacked.

Any suggestions as to what we can do? We can’t post anymore because we’ve met/exceeded our storage space, and we need to keep rolling.
